Yolanda M. Villarreal Obituary
Yolanda Villarreal, born on January 3, 1949, in Brownsville, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Gregorio Morales Sr. and Dora Shears, as well as her beloved husband, Eddie Villarreal.
Yolanda’s legacy lives on through her surviving family, including her son, Eddie Villarreal Jr. and his wife Debra of Victoria, Texas, and her son Jeremy Villarreal and his wife Natasha of Tennessee. She is also survived by her sisters, Rosie Sullivan of Humble, Herlinda Gonzales (Adam), Sofia Escalante (Delfino), and Maridel Hernandez (Arthur), all of Victoria, as well as her sister Maria Marin (Randy) of Weesatche, Texas. Yolanda is remembered fondly by her brothers Greg Morales Jr. (Theresa) of Porter, Richard Morales (Leticia), and Gregory Morales (Maria) of Victoria. She was preceded in death by her parents Gregorio and Dora, by her sister Pearl Lozano and her brother Alfonzo Morales.
Yolanda was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. She touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Yolanda's life will be held to honor her memory at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Monday, February 10, 2025 Monday with 11:15AM visitations, 12:15 PM Rosary, and a 1:00PM Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Eddie Villarreal, Jeremy Villarreal, Eddie Villarreal Jr., Adrian Ricardo Villarreal, Jeremy Villareal Jr., and Juan Beltran Jr., with honorary pallbearer Felisha Nicole Villarreal.
Yolanda M. Villarreal embodied the true meaning of love and devotion, cherished as a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and great-grandmother. Her love for her family was a never-ending source of strength, and sharing meals together was her greatest delight. To those who had the privilege of knowing her, she was more than family or a friend - she was a symbol of hope, love, and faith. Yolanda's generosity was a shining example of her compassionate heart, always putting others before herself. Her legacy will be a guiding light for generations. Yolanda's talents were numerous - she was a talented hairstylist and owner of Wiggy's Wig Shop and Salon. She later became a respected Makeup and fragrance specialist for Elizabeth Arden counter at Dillards, and also worked at Simons Department Store as a fragrance specialist. Yolanda was the best cook ever. May she rest in peace, surrounded by God's love, and may the perpetual light shine upon her. Our beloved Yolanda will be deeply loved , missed and remembered, and her memory will live on in our hearts.
