ALEDO, TEXAS — Theresa Gentry Stuteville, 67, passed away on February 18, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Theresa was born in December 1958 in Victoria, Texas. She graduated from Victoria High School where she formed many lifelong friendships, and later attended Texas A&M University, where she met the love of her life, her husband Greg. She went on to build a successful career as a CPA and financial planner, helping countless clients feel secure about their futures. Theresa was the proud and loving mother to two children, Rachel and Kate, and a cherished Mimi to two wonderful grandchildren, James and Benjamin, who were all the greatest joys of her life. Theresa also shared a close bond with many dear and devoted friends who stood by her through every chapter and challenge. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Theresa loved to travel. She never missed a chance to explore a new country, celebrate a milestone, or simply enjoy a nice visit with a good glass of wine. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Greg Stuteville, their two daughters, Rachel Ewen and husband Ryan, Kate Stuteville and partner Riccardo, and two grandsons James and Benjamin. She is also survived by her mother, Agnes Bochat White, brother Marc Gentry and wife Tammie, sister-in-law Sharon Smith, nieces Jenni Rogers and husband Nick (children Hayden and Peyton Hunter), Melody Yeatts and husband Jeremy (children Alexis, Tanner, and Madison), along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Marcus Gentry (Rosetta), and parents-in-law Jim and Carolyn Stuteville. Theresa will be remembered for her strength, her sharp mind, and her ability to persevere through the most difficult moments. She fought her battle with cancer bravely while seeking out every opportunity to live life fully along the way. In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Theresa’s spirit, her family encourages those who knew her to share a story, take a trip, hug their grandchildren, and support a cause that is meaningful to them. A Celebration of Life will be held at Martin United Methodist Church, 2621 Bedford Road, Bedford, TX at 10:00am on March 14th, 2026.

Order Funeral Flowers Now
It is always appropriate, and often times recommended, sending flowers or plants to the family after the funeral services are over. During this period, phone calls and words of comfort taper off. Then, the heartfelt pain of a death in the family is really experienced for the first time. The arrival of a beautiful bouquet or living plant can be so uplifting during this stage of grief and loneliness. Realizing that others still care and remember even weeks after the services can be great comfort to those in mourning.
