A Time To Be Born:
Takessa Dantele Means was born on July 1, 1993, to LaKeya Chantele Serman and the late Terrace Dewayne Means in Malvern, Arkansas.
A Time To Plant:
Takessa graduated from Malvern High School in 2012. She made her entrance to this world as a surprise, and no one knew that she was making her entrance until on month before she was born. She was always happy no matter the pain she was in. She loved making bracelets, coloring, drawing, and helping others, and her pride and joy was her lil’ brother.
A Time To Die:
Takessa was in the comfort of her home when the Lord called her home on July 27, 2025.
Takessa is preceded in death by her father Terrace D. Means, maternal grandparents Gloria M. Sherman and James R. Sherman, and paternal grandparents Charlene Moore and Thurman Means; and her uncle Timothy Means, Sr.
A Time To Mourn:
The memories of Takessa will forever linger in the hearts and minds of these who held her dear: her loving mother, LaKeva Sherman (Bobby), her brothers Taquan Means (Mariah), and Justin James; her great uncle Harry Sherman; uncles Terrance Ollison, Philander Means (Misty) and Brian Means (Cassandra); her aunt Trina M. Mitchell, and special cousin Porchia Ollison and a host of cousins and close friends.
A Celebration Of Life:
A Celebration of Life will be held for Takessa on Saturday, August 9, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel, 8819 US Hwy 87N, Victoria, TX. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
