It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Gail, 53, of Victoria Texas. She went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ surrounded by her loved ones on August 31, 2025.She was born to Lorenzo and Madeline Canchola in Oxford England on February 20, 1972.
Susan is survived by her loving and devoted husband Jeffery Torres, her daughters Adara Pflaum (Jeremy), Torie Nickel (Tyler), her son Cody Pflaum (Errika), Her sisters Esther White and Laura Barbontine. She is also survived by her 8 loving and wild grandchildren.
Susan is proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Jimmy and Dolores Cantu and her paternal grandparents Felipe and Rebecca Canchola.
She was a dedicated teacher for many years and loved what she did to the fullest. Through her years teaching she touched many lives, young and old, in the most positive way.
Susan was the kind of person that when she walked into the room, she lit it up. Her laugh was so contagious and distinct that when she would laugh you couldn’t help but laugh along with her. Her Smile was so mesmerizing and radiant that it will be and has always been unforgettable. It was the kind of smile that was so comforting and warm, even on your darkest toughest days it would bring you comfort and joy. It was so BEAUTIFUL.
She was a great friend, the best mother, and the most perfect Gigi.
She will be missed as a daughter, sister, friend, mother, Gigi, but most importantly as a wife.
Services will be held on Sunday September 7th at 5:00 pm for visitation at Grace Funeral Home located on Houston Highway. Rosary will follow visitation at 6:30 pm. Funeral mass will be held, Monday September 8th at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens.
