Ruben Treviño Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruben Treviño on January 26, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born on September 30, 1951, to Rufino Treviño and Anastacia Garza, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his sisters; Joann Benitez and Maryann Treviño, and his brother Rufino Treviño Jr.

At the age of 19, Ruben proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving from 1970 to 1977. During his service, he was stationed at Shemya Air Force Base on the Alaskan Aleutian Islands, where he contributed to the defense and readiness of the United States with dedication and pride.

Ruben was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan from day one and enjoyed following their games with a passion. He was also an avid softball player and bowler, excelling in both sports throughout his life. In his leisure time, Ruben loved watching Western movies, and nothing brought him more joy than spending quality time with his family and friends.

Ruben is survived by his wife, Rosalinda, his children; Leticia Treviño, Veronica Rodriguez (Felix), Breanna Treviño, and Ruben Gabriel Treviño (Kaleena), his sisters; Eva Gil (Jesse) and Tina Lindemann (Chris), his brothers; Lawrence Treviño (Evie) and Leroy Treviño (Teresa), and a large family of 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

Express your love and sympathy with a final tribute that will console the family and friends at the Visitation or Service.

Order Funeral Flowers Now
It is always appropriate, and often times recommended, sending flowers or plants to the family after the funeral services are over. During this period, phone calls and words of comfort taper off. Then, the heartfelt pain of a death in the family is really experienced for the first time. The arrival of a beautiful bouquet or living plant can be so uplifting during this stage of grief and loneliness. Realizing that others still care and remember even weeks after the services can be great comfort to those in mourning.
