It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Nivory Devonne Stovall Sr., age 51, on January 25, 2025. Born on October 14, 1973, Nivory was the son of the late Sylvester Stovall Sr. and Dorothy Tillman.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories as he is survived by his devoted wife, Angela Garcia Stovall, and children: Mia Stovall (Julian), Jadyne Stovall Policarpio (Landher), Dana Stovall, Lexus Stovall, Steven Martinez, Mario Anguiano (Teresa), Julian Stovall (Debra), Nivory Stovall Jr. (Ricardo), Malik Stovall, Elijah Stovall (Kailyn), and Keaton Stevens. He is also survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Tillman (Nick), Audra Armstrong (Adrian), Darlisa Williams, and Contessa Sewell, his brothers, Charles Tillman (Brenda), Sylvester Stovall Jr. (Kim), Calvin Stovall (Melissa), Michael Stovall (Taneca), Joe Stovall (Amber), Derick Sewell, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nivory’s joy was also shared by his seven grandchildren, four of whom he created many treasured memories; Karolyn, Kassius, Nova’Lee, and Kamani. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, and his siblings, Belinda Stovall, Nyree Stovall (twin sister), and Carlos Stovall.
Nivory was known for his loving spirit, kindness, and ability to always put a smile on your face. He was most recently employed at Formosa but spent many years as a dedicated restaurant and retail manager. His unwavering love for his family and his presence in their lives will never be forgotten.
The pallbearers will be Ernest Sims, Kerry Sims, Kristopher Hill III, CJ Stovall Jr., Bruce Bankhead, and Anthony Ramirez. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Rodney Williams Sr., Rodney Williams Jr., and Brian Bradford.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his life and legacy Friday, February 7, 2025, at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home from 5-8 pm with a Holy Rosary at 6 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 am. After services, we will meet at Eagle Lake Cemetery at 2 pm.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
