VICTORIA — Matt Pena, 74, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on May 23, 2025. He was born on July 30, 1950, in Victoria to the late Joe Pena and Rosa Ortiz.
Matt was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose love for his family was evident in all he did. He is survived by his daughters, Michele Clark (Greg) of Tennessee and Jessica Benson (Latseen) of Colorado; grandchildren, Courtney Cross (Sam), Cameron Clark (Kaylee), and Olivia Benson; and great-grandchildren, Della, Jack Cross, Finlee and Lillian Clark.
He is also survived by his sisters: Sedonia Pegram, Rosemary Baez, Irma Rocha, Evelyn Edwards, Barbara Shuflin, Janie Hansen, and Debbie Lewandowski.
 
Matt is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mary Sue Lopez and Minerva Johnson; and his brother, Joe Pena.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home, with a rosary and chapel service at 10:00am.
Matt will be remembered for his strength, hard work ethic, sense of humor, and deep devotion to family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
