Margaret Elaine Knapp

Margaret Elaine Knapp, 66, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on May 16, 2025, with her eldest daughter by her side.
Margaret was born on May 13, 1959, in Aransas Pass, Texas, and was raised in Palacios. She later made Victoria her home, where she graduated from Victoria High School. While raising her three daughters, Margaret was inspired to become a teacher and returned to school, earning her degree from the University of Houston–Victoria in education and mathematics & science.
Margaret spent over a decade teaching high school mathematics in Victoria, touching the lives of countless students with her patience and gift for helping her students learn. Later, she moved to Garland, Texas, where she shared a loving life with her husband, John Jeans.
She is survived by her husband, John; her mother, Lena Mae Millison (Tucker); her daughters Pamala Cone, Kimberly Tucker, and Dana Knapp; and her beloved grandchildren, Ben and Evan Cone, Lovey and Michael Huff, Corbin, Connor and Cole Tucker, and Skler Knapp. She also leaves behind her brothers George and Mike Trammell, and sisters Tiana Trammell, Val Eden, and Brenda McElroy.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parent, George James Trammell, and her brother, John Perry Trammell.
Margaret will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her devotion to her students, and the quiet grace with which she approached life.
A Memorial Service will be held at Beneath the Oak, 1796 St HWY 71, Midfield, TX 77458, Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11:00 am.
