Justin Lox Obituary

Justin Lox, 44, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Justin was born on February 11, 1981, in Riverside, California to Gary Sr., and Marge Lox. He married his devoted wife, Angelina Strunk, on July 18, 2020 at his sister's house in Boca Chica, TX and they created a beautiful life together.

Justin was known for his wonderful, kind heart and for the love he had for his children and his wife. He was an extremely hard worker and provider and enjoyed the time he spent working with Thomas Foster. He knew anything that involved construction and mechanics and if there was something he didn’t know, he would make sure he learned it.

His passion for Legos and baseball cards was known by all that knew and loved him. He loved going to the races with his children and spending Sunday morning making his famous omelets for his kids. Justin’s love for the Lord was shown by doing things that he could for the church and for others and he loved being able to help.

Justin, Angelina and Mark share an unbreakable bond that even death cannot touch. Justin lovingly referred to his wife as “Puddin’” and he passed away with her at his side just as she had been everyday taking care of him. Justin fought a courageous battle and is a warrior. He won the victory and is now face to face with his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Angelina Lox; children, Mark Lox of Boca Chica, TX, Matthew Burgess of Montrose, IA, April (Zach) Bohnenkamp of Cedar Rapids, IA; parents, Gary and Marge Lox Sr.; siblings, Shirley (John) Shaddock, Gary Jr. (Sandy) Lox, and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his brother, Jamie Lox; maternal grandparents, Donald and Annis Norton; paternal grandparents, David (Bob) and Shirley Lox and his father-in-law Brian Strunk.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at Bayside Community Church located at 25080 TX-172, Port Lavaca, TX.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to The Justin Lox memorial fund for his son Mark Lox. At 161 Speckled Trout Loop Palacios, TX 77465.

Order Funeral Flowers Now
It is always appropriate, and often times recommended, sending flowers or plants to the family after the funeral services are over. During this period, phone calls and words of comfort taper off. Then, the heartfelt pain of a death in the family is really experienced for the first time. The arrival of a beautiful bouquet or living plant can be so uplifting during this stage of grief and loneliness. Realizing that others still care and remember even weeks after the services can be great comfort to those in mourning.
