Judith "Judy" Garner Obituary

Judith "Judy" Garner passed away March 12, 2025. She was born July 23, 1940 to Chuck and Ann Parks. She married the love of her life, Tom Garner, Jr. on June 3, 1958.

Judy was involved in several local clubs, Red Hat Society, Quilt Guild, and Quilt Angels. She served on the board at Hatchbend Country Club and Calhoun County's Senior Citizens. She was actively involved in the Calhoun County Democrat Club. She played in several different card groups in the community. She also enjoyed needlepoint, ceramics and her poodle Sabrinia. She loved entertaining people every chance she could. Her life was well lived, she said.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Tom and her sister; Cathy Schutt.

She is survived by her daughters; Teresa (Greg) Eyster, Tammy (Kenneth) Hardt. Her brother Bill (Sharon) Parks. Four granddaughters; Britanny (Abel) Valencia Monreal, Avery Eyster, Erica (Eric) Anderson, and Taylor Salinas. Three great grandsons; Daniel, Bryce, Brayden and soon to be her fourth great grand baby, Anderson on the way. As well as her nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Judy's smile could light up a room and her laugh could be heard from a far. She learned to play golf so she could join her husband on the greens but soon found that taking pictures was more enjoyable for her. Her biggest joys in life were her husband and her grandchildren and her great grandsons.

A private service will be held for the family. Thank you to everyone for being a part of our mother's life.

Order Funeral Flowers
To order flowers & plants, call (361) 575-2307
Sending flowers or plants to the family, in memory of the deceased, is always appropriate and very appreciated. In the following days and weeks, phone calls and words of comfort taper off. Then, heartfelt pain of a death in the family is really experienced for the first time. The arrival of a beautiful bouquet or living plant can be so uplifting during this stage of grief and loneliness. Realizing that others still care and remember even of weeks after the services, can be great comfort to those in mourning.
