Jimmy Suniga Obituary

Jimmy Suniga of Victoria, Texas went to be with the Lord May 5, 2025 at the age of 65. He was born April 25, 1960 in Victoria, Texas to Jose Suniga and Josephine Resendez Suniga.

 

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy., in Victoria, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Monday, May 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria, Texas. Honoring Jimmy as pallbearers will be Eric Suniga, Ruben Jr. (Vito) Padierna, Gilbert Huerta, Isaac (Boy) Suniga, Jr., Eddie Cumpian, III and Johnny Hargrove. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee Suniga, Esmerelda (Pina) Suniga, Isaiah Suniga, Albert Hernandez and Ruben Padierna, Sr.

 

Jimmy was well known for everything he did! He loved to help BBQ for benefits, loved fishing and dancing. As he was growing up and into his younger years, he loved cutting wood and hauling hay in his old Chevy truck. Above all, he loved his job as a forklift operator, which he proudly did for Hardin Tubular for 15 years. Jimmy will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Resendez Suniga; brother, Johnny Suniga and daughter, Michelle Ann Suniga.

 

Leaving to cherish his memory is his father, Jose Suniga; daughter, Esmerelda (Pina) Suniga of Victoria, Texas; sons, Jimmy Lee Suniga, Eric James Suniga both of Victoria, Texas; siblings, Irma Padierna (Ruben), Esther Padierna (Adolf) and Lucy Flores (Arnulfo Quintero) all of Victoria, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; along with numerous other family members and friends.
