Francisco L. Salinas
It is with deep love and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Francisco L. Salinas on Sunday April 13, 2025, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Francisco was born on January 4, 1933, in San Ygnacio, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents, Lazaro Salinas and Bruna Solis Salinas, his cherished wife Genoveva Garcia Salinas, his son Mario A. Salinas, son-in-law Stephen G. Henke, and grandsons Erik Salinas and Stephen D. Henke.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Edna Salinas and Elma Salinas Henke of Inez, Texas, daughter-in-law Cecilia Cathcart Salinas of Lolita, Texas, and sons Frank (Velma) Salinas Jr. of Kingsville, Texas and Javier (Jerri) Salinas of Victoria, Texas.
Francisco’s legacy lives on through his 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. His strength, wisdom, and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on each of their lives.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday April 23,2025 at 5:00pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home in Victoria Texas. On Thursday April 24, 2025, visitation will continue at Santisima Trinidad (Holy Trinity) Catholic Church at 12:15pm with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:00PM. Burial to follow at Wood Hi Cemetery with a reception held after at the Wood Hi Community Center.
Serving as pallbearers are Mario Salinas Jr., Brandon Salinas, Frankie Salinas III, Marco Salinas, Clay Henke, and Chaz Henke. Honorary pallbearers include Braeden Salinas, Ethan Gilmore, Sebastian Salinas, and Jeremy Larossi.
Francisco will be remembered for the love he gave, the stories he told, and the family he built. His presence will be forever missed and eternally cherished.
