In Loving Memory of Felicitas Otilia Rodriguez
July 2, 1935 – July 5, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Felicitas Otilia Rodriguez, who departed this life on July 5, 2025, at the age of 90 – just three days after celebrating her milestone birthday. She was born in San Miguel Camaego, N.L. Mexico, to the late Roberto Flores and Felicitas Villarreal.
Born on July 2, 1935, Felicitas lived a life defined by faith, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend – known for her kind heart and the deep love she shared with everyone around her. A vibrant soul who loved to dance and sing. Felicitas was truly the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Her gentle presence was a source of peace, and her resilience an enduring inspiration.
Felicitas was preceded in death by her loving parents, Felicitas Villarreal and Roberto Flores, and by her husbands, Laudino Gonzalez and Ignacio Rodriguez, as well as her siblings: Guadalupe Garcia, Esperanza Medina, Armandina Flores, Roberto Flores, Raul Flores, and Ricardo Flores, and her son Laudino Jr. – all of whom she loved dearly and now joins in eternal rest.
She is survived by her loving brother, Reynaldo Flores, and her devoted sons: John Manuel Gonzalez (Odelia), Oscar Gonzales (Benilde), and Guadalupe Gonzalez (Olga).
She also leaves behind a proud and loving legacy through her grandchildren: Valerie Montoya, Angela (Hector) Licon, John Noel Gonzalez, Oscar Gonzales Jr., Jennifer (Marci) Gonzales, April (Will) Olivares, Laudino Gonzales, Mindy Gonzalez, Joe Martinez, Marcus Martinez, Michael Martinez, and Avelina Martin.
Felicitas was further blessed with 21 great – grandchildren and 5 great – great – grandchildren, each one carrying forward her love, spirit, and values.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6 pm at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 12:15 with a funeral mass at 1 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where family and friends will come together to honor her memory, her faith, and the legacy she leaves behind. Pallbearers will be Trystan Wahl, Xavier Lopez, Oscar Gonzales III, Oscar Gonzales, Xzavier Gonzales, and Juan Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers are Guadalupe Gonzales and Hayden Licon. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Though Felicitas is no longer with us in body, her light will forever shine in the lives of those she touched. Her love endures in every heart that remembers her.
