Dennis James Kowalik, aged 67, peacefully passed away surrounded by his wife and children on April 14, 2025, in Victoria, TX. Born on June 28, 1957, Dennis was a distinguished attorney known for his integrity and dedication in the fields of Real Estate Law, Wills and Probate, and Oil and Gas.
Dennis graduated from Stroman High School and furthered his education at the University of Houston before earning his law degree from Baylor Law School. Throughout his career, he earned the respect and admiration of both his colleagues and clients for his expertise and ethical standards.
Beyond his professional life, Dennis was a man of many passions. He cherished the moments spent feeding the deer on his property, a testament to his love for nature and tranquility. An avid outdoorsman, Dennis enjoyed camping along the river and hunting, often accompanied by his closest friends and family. Golf was another of his favorite pursuits, providing him with both leisure and a way to connect with others.
Dennis was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Debbie Kowalik, and a guiding light to his children, Lesley Peloquin and John Kowalik. His family circle extended to his son-in-law Allen Peloquin, daughter-in-law Lisa Kowalik, and his cherished grandchildren Brady, Miles, and Maggie, as well as his bonus daughter Stefani AuBuchon, her husband Bryan, and their children Abby, Chase, and Emma. His sister Joanne Moody, along with numerous nieces and nephews, also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Vickie Kowalik, his brother Larry Kowalik, and his brother-in-law Bill Moody.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on May 3rd starting at 4pm at the Quinta Los Leones event venue at 217 Rios Rd. This gathering will reflect his vibrant spirit and the profound impact he had on those around him.
