David Patrick Gajdusek Obituary
David Patrick Gajdusek, 76, of Yoakum, Texas went to his heavenly home February 4, 2025. He was born February 23, 1948 in Yoakum, Texas to the late Joseph L. Gajdusek and Lucy Kocian Gajdusek.
Family and friends will gather for visitation Friday, February 14, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy., in Victoria, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Grace Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Honoring David as pallbearers will be Joseph Gajdusek, Matthew Gajdusek, James Isaacks, Brandon Isaacks, Jason Gleason, and Ricky Amador. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brad Isaacks.
David married Helen Mikes on November 22, 1973 in Yoakam, Texas. He worked for Victoria Plumbing Co. for 25 years and worked various jobs until retirement. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, competition shooting, dancing and watching westerns. He was a family man who enjoyed going to church. He loved his coffee and enjoyed talking about history. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Staha and brother-in-law, Raymond Richter.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Helen Mikes Gajdusek of Victoria, Texas; daughter, Sheri Isaacks (Brad) of Port Lavaca, Texas; son, Joseph Gajdusek (Angela) of Victoria, Texas; sister, Annie Richter of Yoakum, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
The family requests that donations be made to the Gajdusek family.
