Connie B. Munoz, 96, passed away peacefully on April 03, 2026, surronded by loved ones.She was born on May 12, 1929 in Brownsvile, Cameron County, TX to her late parents, Liborio Benavidez Sr..and Maria Del Carmen Villafranca. She lived a long fulfilling life deeply rooted in her faith and committed to her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Manuel Munoz Sr.; son, Manuel Eloy Munoz; and daughter Selia Munoz; grandchildren, Noelia Trevino, Daniel Munoz Jr., Daniel Munoz III, Annalia Rene Valdez; brothers, Liborio Benavidez Jr., and Pete Benavidez.
She is survived by her children; Arnold Flores of Houston, Ida Flores (Sabas) of Port Lavaca, Mary Alice (Jimmy) of Bryan, Daniel Munoz Sr. (Irma) of Odem, Margarita "Maggie" Svetlik (Mike) of Port Lavaca, Lonnie Munoz (Rachel) of Port Lavaca, Ray Munoz (Oralia) of Port Lavaca, and Gilbert Jose of Port Lavaca.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy, survived by twenty-two grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-great-grandchildren. Her memory will live on through the generations of family she loved dearly.
Visitation will begin on Monday, April 13, 2026, 5:00 PM at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Port Lavaca, TX, with a Prayer Service to held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume On Tuesday, Aptil 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM at New Beginnings church with a Funeral Service to begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Port Lavaca Cemetery.
